Miss Geraldine Erma Krueger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Krueger of Curtiss and Milford Ernest Leffel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Leffel of Colby, Route 1, were united in marriage in the Evangelical Lutheran church in Curtiss, Wisconsin Saturday afternoon, May 29th, at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. M. F. Egge reading the marriage vows.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a waltz-length strapless gown with scalloped lace panels in the skirt. The matching lace jacket was topped with a Peter Pan collar. A matching headpiece held her finger-tip veil and she carried red roses and white carnations.
Miss Arlene Krueger of Milwaukee was her sister’s maid of honor. Another sister of the bride, Miss Patricia Krueger, and a sister of the groom, Miss Bernadine Leffel, were bridesmaids. Leo Leffel of Colby, a brother of the groom, was best man and Melvin Leffel of Colby and Frederick Krueger of Curtiss were groomsmen. Performing the ushering duties were Eli Krueger of Marshfield and Kenneth Baumgartner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The bride’s small sister, Pamela Krueger, was flower girl and Keith Weller of Abbotsford, the bride’s cousin, was ringbearer.
Identically styled blue waltz-length formals and matching headpieces were worn by the bridal aides. Bouquets of pink, white, and yellow carnations were carried by the three attendants.
Navy blue dresses were worn by both the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom, whose corsages were of pink tea roses and white carnations.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents with a dinner served in the dining hall of the church. Out-of-town guests were present from Milwaukee, Edgar, Wausau, Baraboo, Marshfield, Medford, Cumberland, Rice Lake and cities in Michigan and Minnesota.
The young couple will reside on a farm near Edgar where the groom is engaged in farming. The bride was a member of the 1954 graduating class of Colby High School.
